The 8th Women Affairs Ministers' Meeting, (8WAMM) has already taken place and this was between the 11 to 14 of June, 2007 at Speke Resort Munyonyo.It concluded with a field trip at the Mildmay centre for HIV/AIDS patients and Watoto Children's Village.
The Commonwealth People's Forum' aims are as follows: To raise the visibility of civil society organization in the Commonwealth; To create partnerships in the quest for development and democracy; strengthen links between Commonwealth civil society organizations; To create opportunities for dialogue between civil society and government ministers on priority issues in the Commonwealth; To provide opportunities for that dialogue to be raised and addressed at the CHOGM will take place at Hotel Africana during the 19 and 22 of November 2007.
The Commonwealth Youth Forum (CYF) which is one of the most important meetings held amongst Commonwealth members, will be held at Entebbe Imperial Botanical Hotel in parallel with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and this will provide an excellent opportunity to the young people from all Commonwealth countries to interact with each other, discuss issues and come up with action plans together with recommendations which will then be presented to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting between 23 and 25 November at Serena Hotel Kampala.
