The latest clashes in Kenya have left 8 dead and homes torched in Nakuru. This comes after President Kibaki and opposition leader shook hands after the meeting with former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan. Over 50 people were wounded and above 2,500 people displaced from the violence that kicked off yesterday between the Kalenjin people who support Raila Odinga and Mwai Kibaki's ethinc group.
Mr. Kibaki still maintains that he was dully elected while Raila Odinga has also stuck to his guns that Mwai Kibaki stole the vote. At least 700 people have been killed since the election violence broke out. Much as the leaders have met there is al ot to be done to resolve their differences.
The African Union (AU) is due to meet in Ethiopia next week but the ODM spokesman says "We are telling the world, including the African Union, that Kibaki's government is not the legitimate government". Salim Lone adds "The AU should accept our call because Kibaki lost the election and all the independent institutions in the world have shown this was a fraudulent election."
